The COVID-19 pandemic has effected the way we conduct business, and our ability to deliver products and services as per usual.

To ensure we can still maintain online operations whilst protecting the health of our staff, business operations have been impacted.

1) Park Passes

If you are considering purchasing or have recently purchased a park pass, please be aware that access to national parks have been affected, and many are currently closed. Please visit page on Explore Parks for the latest updates and information.

2) Delivery of goods

Due to travel restrictions and staffing shortages, delivery of items have been affected and processing of orders will be delayed. We currently have a back-log of orders which are being processed as soon as possible.

Our aim is to have our delivery service back on schedule by 1st May, but is subject to change.

3) Firewood

The department is currently still issuing firewood permits BUT people still need to observe the State Government’s regional travel bans. This may be subject to change.

Will you continue to sell and distribute products from the online shop? 

Yes, books, maps, prints and LANDSCOPE magazine will still be available for purchase onlineWhile national parks continue to remain open, park passes will also be available for purchase. 

If circumstances change and we are unable to fulfil or distribute your order, you will be notified.  

What precautions are you taking in the preparation and distribution of products? 

While DBCA productare hand-packed, the distribution centre is manned by only one person who follows strict hygiene protocols and works in isolation away from others 

Will the LANDSCOPE magazine be produced and delivered? 

The autumn issue of LANDSCOPE magazine was produced and delivered before the outbreak of COVID-19. The winter issue of the magazine is in production and due to be delivered in late May/early June.  

It is too early to anticipate whether the COVID-19 situation will have resolved itself by the time the magazine is due for delivery. However, the editorial and design production process continues in the meantime.  

The printing process and the distribution process involve mainly machine handling with a minimal amount of manual handling.  

DBCA has been assured that printers and distributors follow strict hygiene guidelines of hand washing, sanitizing, wearing gloves and social distancing. Measures have also been taken to split and rotate shifts to increase social distancing and reduce the chances of transmission.
