Northern quolls are found in the Pilbara and Kimberley regions of northern Western Australia (see ‘Quolls - spotted in the desert’ on page 20). They are nocturnal, and spend their nights hunting for native rodents and small marsupials, birds, reptiles and insects, and eat figs and other fruit. During the day they shelter from the heat in hollow logs and rocky crevices.
